Monplasty Houston
Conveniently located to serve Houston and Sugar Land
Monplasty is a procedure that removes excessive fatty tissue or redundant skin on the mons pubis, that otherwise causes a bulge. Fatty tissue removal for this procedure is typically conducted with liposuction. The type of anesthesia used is oral sedation with local or general anesthesia. Recovery is approximately 2-4 weeks.
Who Is in Need of a Monsplasty?
Women who want their mons pubis to look firmer and smaller in size can be perfect candidates for a monsplasty. They must be in overall good health and should also have realistic expectations in terms of what can be achieved. Non-smokers are preferred.
Patients who are in the process of losing a significant amount of weight should achieve their weight-loss goals before proceeding with monsplasty. If the patient recently underwent another surgical procedure, a delay until fully recovered is also highly recommended.
Your Consultation
A consultation at Ayim Surgical Arts will help the patient learn more about the procedure while allowing Dr. Ayim to fully understand their goals. This also gives patients the opportunity to voice any concerns that they may have regarding the procedure.
How Does a Monsplasty Work?
A monsplasty typically involves an incision in the target area, which allows access to the excess tissue that has accumulated on the mons pubis. This excess fatty tissue is then removed, along with any loose skin.
The goal is to get rid of the added volume to the area, which essentially causes it to bulge. By removing the excess fat and skin, the mons pubis can then become flatter and tighter.
